Admiral Homespace the loft conversion division of the company is officially launched. After many months of preparation a new chapter in the history of Admiral will see the skills of its existing staff utilised in the creation of loft conversions throughout East Anglia. There are very few professional organisations offering loft design and conversion work in the area and our reputation should ensure the success of the loft conversion operation”. House prices having doubled over the past five years and the huge increases in stamp duty are encouraging many people to stay put and improve their homes. The relative cost of loft conversions, have in the past confined the majority of installations to London where house values are much higher. Now the local house price increases have made a full conversion on average around 15% of the house value meaning that many conversions see the house improve in value as much as the cost of the work or more. Admirals existing clients will be offered the service first as the demand is expected to be very high. The company has wisely set a limit on the first year turnover of 10 conversions in order that customers do not have to wait too long for the service. Advertising and newspaper features will then be used to encourage people to put their money in the Loft.
