They said it could not be done!

A conversation during a haircut led to this installation! The salon owner, a well known local personality suggested to Steve our Managing Director that it was impossible to build an open plan conservatory on to his home because the house had piled footings. Steve took up the challenge and they are both highly delighted with the resulting extension to the kitchen. The house was built in an area that had an old archeological dig in the vicinity and therefore the whole estate had piled footings to a depth of over 6 metres. In most cases this means that an extension would also require piling which would add thousands of pounds to the build. Looks like wood

Gold tie bars and a glass roof are enough to convince most visitors that this is a timber conservatory. It is actually the latest Rosewood foil applied to the pvc profile and is maintenance free! White on White

Many clients ask if white conservatory frames will look OK against a whitewashed house wall. This photograph proves that they do! You do not have to pay extra for coloured frames just to make the conservatory stand out, sometimes, the result is more pleasing to the eye when it blends into the background. Read More

Making the most of the view

Around 90% of our conservatories are specified as dwarf wall models, many with higher flank walls to one or both sides. However,this lovely installation shows how impressive they can look without walls. The view is completely uninterrupted and the additional light streaming into the conservatory adds an even more spacious feeling to the room. Read More

Alconbury Landscaping commences

Following an alliance agreement between Admiral and Earthscape, the regions premier landscape design company, work has started on the `Enclosed Garden` project at Alconbury. Some five lorry loads of tarmac and concrete have been replaced with seventy tons of topsoil. The garden, which is expected to complete in February, will be a peaceful area for our customers and staff, as well as a display for potential Earthscape clients. This photograph, taken in winter shows the twin benefits of light and view. Many people apparently feel depressed during the winter due to lack of daylight. Not the case with many of our customers. Maybe there are health benefits to adding a conservatory?… Read More
