Bigger AND Better

This Cambridge couple were so pleased with their large conservatory they wanted to extend it. We first installed a large P Shape design a couple of years ago and the client came back this year to ask if it would be possible to enlarge it by adding an extra end. The project was not without difficulty but thanks to the technical expertise of the Admiral team, the result is very impressive and absolutely HUGE. This garden will be enjoyed no matter what weather winter brings. Read More

Listed Property gains approval for an Evolution Tudor Style Conservatory

If you mention PVC to a conservation officer they visibly shake and go pale! Miraculous then, that we managed to obtain permission to erect this Evolution Wood-White framed conservatory for a Cambridgeshire couple. The gable fronted conservatory is a black and white combination with a glass roof that looks just like wood but without the drawbacks. We hope that from now on, Conservation Officers will be a little more open to discuss all possibilities as these conservatories combine elegance with sustainability and energy saving qualities. Inside an Orangery

Notice how different the feel of an orangery is to a conservatory. The natural evolution of the garden room combines the light and view afforded by a conservatory with the solid comfortable feel of a lounge. Orangeries can be specified in timber, Aluminium or PVC in any RAL colour…and designed any way you fancy. Scroll to the bottom of our Orangeries page if you would like to download a brochure. Artists appreciation of the light from above

If you want to know about the importance of light…ask an artist. The lady of this house works in the arts and has a passion for creating her own art works at home. She had desired a home studio for many years and on visiting our Alconbury showroom was taken with the possibility of creating an Orangery Style Studio off the rear of their garage. The results are stunning. For additional photos go to our Conservatories Gallery. Read More

Room at the Top

This loft conversion creates the most space possible for a large bedroom and massive luxury bathroom. Using Dormers like this increases the useable head height internally and turns a plain roof into a much more attractive elevation. It is so difficult to show the inside using photographs but if you would like to visit our gallery there are more completion photographs to be seen. Read More

Maintenance Issue resolved permanently

Our PVC Roofline team have complained that their installations are never featured, so here goes! It may not be glamorous to show PVC roofline products but the fact is that it is one of the biggest headaches and a thankless task to maintain the roofline of any house. Swish branded soffits fascias and shiplap in PVC will not warp or rot and never needs repainting. If your roofline is tired or you do not fancy speaking with somebody about working at height regulations or health and safety, call our roofing manager Mike today for a free survey and quote. Orangery Roof

This photo illustrates why Orangery roofing is becoming so popular. The plinth around the glass walls gives a much more room like feel to the building. The trend towards Orangery design has led us to develop with our main suppliers the unique Admiral Orangery Roof. Instead of conventional timbers, the Admiral Orangery combines an aluminium structurally proven mainframe insulated and covered with our Lifetime Roofing. Technical details can be provided on request. Read More

New Roof Changes Conservatory

This client called us because the conservatory that was inherited on house purchase was designed poorly. It had a flat roof that was suffering leaks and mould build up due to its low pitch. In the summer it was too hot and in winter the heat went straight through the roof meaning the cost of heating was hardly worth the gain in comfort. Through newconservatoryroof.com our latest division, we replaced the roof and side frames only leaving the base intact at less than half the cost of a whole new room. It is now insulated properly and looks a whole lot nicer addition to a lovely house. Read More

Lifetime Flat Roof Solution

OK I admit it is hard to make a flat roof replacement look glamorous! I promised out Roofing Manager Mike that we would include one of his jobs as an Installation of The Month. The photo may not look fancy but the customer is delighted with the finish. An old felt and moss covered roof has been transformed using the Lifetime RubberBond solution. We upgraded the installation and replaced all the decking too, so the work is covered under building regulations. The client will be grateful of this when they come to sell as documentation will be required by the conveyancing solicitor. A twenty year guarantee provides even more peace of mind. Read More
