One of our favoured materials for Bi-Fold doors is aluminium. Why? Well the frames are strong enough to cope with the weight of the double glazed units whether in 6mm laminated or 4mm toughened glass. When you want to avoid a bolder outline, the sharp edged minimalist look of aluminium is perfect for many building projects and extensions as it can be specified with incredibly slim frames and large areas.

We don’t sell plastic bi-fold doors as we feel that it’s not the right material to carry so much weight. In order to make it rigid, it needs to be ‘filled’ with steel or aluminium, making it quite chunky and rather defeats the objective of clean minimalist lines.

Our Aluminium EasyFold system can be designed in a standard range of colours that includes white, grey, black and brown. However, and here’s the beauty of it, you can literally choose any colour for a personalised scheme…we can even match to Farrow and Ball or apply a realistic wood grain effect if you prefer that period look. Want a different colour on the inside to that of the outside? Consider it done!
